Remembering or recognizing something previously encountered without necessarily understanding, using, or changing it. Activities: Multiple choice questions, definitions, recalling a process. Key Words: Define, describe, identify, label, recall, list, match, name.

Understanding the material being communicated without necessarily relating it to anything else. Activity: Explain or interpret a meaning from a given scenario, create an example or metaphor. Key Words: Explain, restate, critique, summarize, translate, interpret, distinguish, illustrate, compare.

Using general concepts to solve a particular problem. Activity: Put a theory into practice, solve a problem, manage an activity. Key Words: Apply, use, discover, solve, produce, implement, practice, respond, role-play, calculate.

Breaking something down into parts. Activity: Assess the situation, differentiate between the two models, make a correlation. Key Words: Correlate, analyze, contrast, differentiate, distinguish, articulate, assess, chart, operationalize, predict, relate, infer, measure, test.

Creating something new by combining different ideas. Activity: Develop plans or procedures, design a solution, create a new approach, write a protocol. Key Words: Adapt, anticipate, categorize, compile, combine, devise, design, generate, rearrange, reconstruct, modify.

Judging the value of materials or methods as they might be applied in a particular situation. Activity: Assess sustainability, SWOT analysis, justify a strategic plan. Key Words: Review, justify, assess, present a case for, defend, report on, investigate, appraise, support, criticize.
