2 District Goal 1 Academic Achievement High School Inc. Partnership: Engages students with seven academy choices. -Each academy is experiencing an increase in enrollment. Exposes students to business leaders who present work-based learning activities. Develops leadership skills through success-centered programs.

3 District Goal 2 Prepared Students High School Inc. Partnership: Prepares English Language Learners - certifications - competitions - project based learning - increase literacy/command of the English language Increases student communication skills - interaction with business professionals - workplace specific language and vocabulary Implements “personalized education”

4 District Goal 3 Quality Academic Programs High School Inc. Partnership: Maintains high academic and career technical education standards. - curriculum engages students in rigorous and relevant areas of study - prepares students to think critically, assemble and integrate information Creates higher education learning opportunities through articulated programs at universities, private colleges and community colleges, and private industry. Ongoing assessment of changing business market and economic needs of students to prepare them for college and career.

5 District Goal 4 Strategic Allocation of Resources High School Inc. Partnership: Supplies state-of-the-industry equipment and resources through contributions provided by business and industry partners. Supplies educational incentives to recognize student achievement and participation in scholastic and competitive learning activities. Collaborates with the SAUSD a process to maintain the capacity and growth of the High School Inc. Academies.

6 District Goal 5 Clear Communication High School Inc. Partnership: Collaborates with the SAUSD to support the transformational plan, brand, and branding strategies that support the School Improvement Grant (SIG) for Valley High School. -Public Relations -Speakers Bureau

7 District Goal 6 Parent & Community Relationships High School Inc. Partnership: Operates advisory meetings for each academy to allow students, parents, faculty members and business partners the opportunity to discuss curriculum and student activities. Establishes community events that provide opportunities for parents to be involved in the academic, social, and safety needs of their children. Provides a calendar of events to promote parent involvement in the functions and events of the High School Inc. Academies at Valley High School.

8 District Goal 7 Outstanding Employees High School Inc. Partnership: Supports on-going professional development for the academic and Career Technical Education instructional process. Explores and provides business and off-site experiences for the Valley High School faculty to refresh teaching insights and knowledge in their content area. Assists in the recruitment and retaining of high performing instructors and staff.

9 District Goal 8 Safe, Respectful, Well-Maintained, Healthy Environment High School Inc. Partnership Creates models of safety and conduct that reflect the best practices of business and industry. Assists in providing state-of-the-industry facilities to maximize student performance. Advocates legislative support for SAUSD’s goals and priorities that promote business and industry involvement with college and career readiness of Valley High School students.

10 District Goal 9 Success Focus High School Inc. Partnership: Cultivates the relationship between business and education to ensure college and career ready success for students upon graduation. Recognizes the need for personalization in student education for academic and career success. Celebrates student success through awards, certifications, competitions, and community recognitions.
