Encourage thematic programs and publicize.  Schedule meaningful programs.  Appoint Sgt at Arms who can delegate responsibility between new members.  Review club income and expenses to insure that we are working within our budget.  Ensure successful completion of Presidential Citation.  Initiate Club Visioning process. Rotary Club of Pontiac Goals: Rotary Foundation and Public Relations 2010-11  Hold three informational sessions on the Rotary Foundation / Gates Challenge.  Encourage more participation in district events, especially committee chairs.  Meet Club goals for Foundation: $2400 General Fund $1000 Gates Challenge Encourage all committee chairs to attend the District Assembly.  Publicize district events and ensure participation.  Seek opportunities to publicize Ecuador project.  Increase publicity for projects.  Use District Website for PR.  Pursue public relations grant  Link with newsletters for schools, Chamber of Commerce, etc.  Evaluate PR resources at www.rotary.org.www.rotary.org  Enhance use of Clubrunner for member information and engagement.  Continue to grow “Friends” list and use for membership development.  Ensure monthly publication of Student of the Month Rotary Foundation: Vernita District Involvement Public Relations: Berk Clubrunner

Rotary Club of Pontiac Goals: Membership 2010-11  End year with 30 – 35 members.  Provide face-to-face orientation for each new member.  Ensure that each new member has a committee assignment.  Train mentors on responsibilities and provide incentive for completion.  Encourage members to wear pins  “Shepherd” current members to ensure continued involvement.  Fellowship: 3 FUN fellowship activities during the year.  Include families in at least one activity.  Plan at least one new member event/program during the year.  Get Rotary sign welcoming people into Pontiac on Woodward.  Enhance relationship with Pontiac city hall, churches, chamber and school district. Rotary Club of Pontiac Goals: Projects 2010-11  Support efforts to engage other district clubs in support of Ecuador project.  Organize bike rally to support Ecuador biosand plus local projects.  Develop plan for continued contact with scholarship winners.  Solicit feedback from Pontiac Schools and modify Career Day as needed.  Send 2 students to RYLA and ensure followup.
