Kyrgyzstan earthquake - October 6, 2008 – Magnitude 6.6 In the village of Nura, 75 died, approximately 150 injured According to the Kyrgyz Emergency Ministry, virtually all the buildings collapsed (100 buildings) Two buildings which remained standing were the school and the clinic These were designed and constructed by the Kyrgyz Scientific Research and Design Institute of Seismic Construction
