i Location: steel rig. Skills we learnt was: communication, team work, confidence, responsibility and negotiation. We learnt what peat is its basically 3000 year old squashed plants. We dug holes for water samples and took pH scales.
19
Cutting back Rhododendron Location: Bonnyrigg hall We used hacksaws and loppers to cut it down. We put them in a fire to dispose of them. We learnt that they come from the Himalayas. Their oily leaves stop other plants growing.

i Hypothermia is when you are too cold. Hyperthermia is when you are too hot. You need to be prepared because the weather will change fast and you could die of hypothermia. Be prepared and keep wrapped up. Take suitable clothing.

Access Conservation in Northumberland National Park Rangers get paid to run the park. Volunteer wardens also help in the park. They make stiles, fencing and boardwalks. The bird hide boardwalk saves the peat bog and helps people to cross the bog.
