15.  The foundation is closing its doors in January 2020 and will spend all of its assets by then except for an endowment for our operating cultural center in Jerusalem.  The foundation will not endow any programs or institutions other than Beit AVI CHAI in Jerusalem.  In anticipation of the foundation’s closing, staff is working with key grantees to build internal capacities for their sustainability and viability post AVI CHAI.  AVI CHAI plans to use the remaining seven years to develop partnerships to support existing and co-create new programs in our areas of interest.
