Type of Work, Duties, and Responsibilities Architects create the overall look of buildings and other structures. They make sure structures are functional, safe, economical and suit the needs of the people who will use them.

Educational Requirements Licensing requirements of an architect include: A professional degree in architecture (a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree) Three years of practical work training Passing all divisions of the Architect Registration Examination.

The Skills The following skills would make someone a good architect: Designing Engineering Managing Supervising Communicating with other people (like clients and builders)
