We have received the flight unit back from Sweden; have modified, ordered, received and assembled the new amp board; and have assembled the new amp board in the flight unit. The flight unit is currently in the vacuum chamber being characterized. We have also worked out the delivery schedule and funding requirements for the amp board fix. The Software Requirements Specification has been completed and is in the signature cycle. Latest project photos and videos are available on Aspera-3 web site.photosvideos

ASPERA-3 April. 25, 01 Monthly Status Report ASPERA Monthly Status ReportMonthly 4_25/ Page 10 Problem and Concern Status Funding for ELS board fix: During the last month we settled on a plan and delivery schedule for the repaired ELS flight unit. We also submitted a proposal to NASA for forward funding of a small portion of the FY02 dollars (late in FY01) to cover the costs of the repair of the amp board. All actions have been agreed to at this time. We are leaving this item as a concern only because the funding has not yet been received (or needed). We do not anticipate a problem in the future.
