GCSE/AS/A2 Photography Aims and Learning Outcomes You will actively engage in the process of creating images to to develop as critical and reflective thinkers. develop creative skills through learning to use imagination and intuition when taking photographs. experiment with traditional darkroom techniques and new digital media like Photoshop and Moviemaker. develop cultural knowledge through visual analysis of photographs in historical & contemporary contexts.

OCR GCSE Photography Units Unit 1: Coursework Portfolio (worth 60%) Students produce a portfolio of work based on 3 genre themes: Still Life Objects Identity Portraiture Landscape-Location Students are introduced to a wide range of photographic media. Students acquire basic analytical and conceptual skills through research of photographers from different cultures and time periods. Unit 2: OCR-set Project (worth 40%) Students select one theme from an exam paper and then they produce a personal project in response. They will show independent research and image making skills.
