12. 1999 On April 1 st, Nunavut is established. Most living there are Inuit Indians.

13. 2001 Canada enters the war on terrorism. It sends ships to Afghanistan.

14. 2006 Stephen Harper becomes the 22 nd Prime Minister.

15. 2010 The Winter Olympics are held in Vancouver, British Colombia.
