Association of Universities in the East of England 10 – 40 week projects Principally aimed at independent micro-sized organisations and SMEs but large and public organisations can also be eligible (funder- dependent criteria) Tactical/operational issues Stepping stone to full-on collaboration for first- timers All applications on-line No Adviser support during the project

Association of Universities in the East of England sKTP may: Lead to a classic KTP Run in parallel with a classic KTP or Follow-on from a classic KTP Partnerships may have more than one sKTP running in parallel or sequentially (can’t be used replace a classic) Company contribution ca. 40% of total cost – minimum of £380/week plus VAT (60% if large organisation) Reverse sKTP option – existing company employee works on project in knowledge base (for min. 70% of project time)

Association of Universities in the East of England OH Company – “To develop and deliver an accredited training course to extend the expertise of OH nurses to undertake objective musculoskeletal assessment”. KT = pedagogic processes to gain accreditation. Conservatory Manufacturer – “To create a customer focused approach to manage sales leads, quotes and follow-ups to drive cost-effectiveness /efficiencies on new/existing business”. KT = CRM selection and implementation to optimize the sales/order processes. Commercial Heating Manufacturer - “To develop the company’s capability in product development, testing and design needed to bring this new product to market”. KT = 3D CAD modelling for on pipe flow to improve product design. sKTP at UH

Association of Universities in the East of England Software Company – “To develop the capability to document the Cuneiform engine, design and develop the desired OCR product enhancements”. KT = Pattern recognition systems (machine learning), image segmentation and morphological image processing. Labelling and Marking Company – “To redesign the electronics system currently faced with an obsolete chip. This will enable continued support of existing machines and through new software architecture provide enhanced capability for new machines until a major redesign is introduced”. KT = Redesigning software and microcontroller systems. Thermal Shrink & Labelling Company – “To develop a product/ marketing plan defining new and existing market sectors, competitors and customer requirements”. KT = Market analysis tools, product introduction planning processes and integrated marketing/product development communications plan. sKTP at UH
