Traditional-uses natural resources, lives off the land (third-world countries) Market-supply and demand, higher quality of goods and services, limited government interference Command-Government controls factors of production Mixed-varying degrees of government control (most economies today)

7. What is a primary industry? A secondary industry? Primary- Agriculture, fishing, mining, natural resources, raw materials gathered Secondary- Construction, factories, manufacturing, raw materials finished products

8. Describe the four factors of production. Natural resources-raw materials are used to make goods. Ex: land, water, forests, minerals, soil, and climate Labor resources-Workers are needed with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience to make goods or provide services Capital resources-machines, factories, and supplies are needed Entrepreneurs-these are the people who bring natural resources, labor resources, and capital resources together to produce goods and services
