Read “A Christmas Memory” – pages 51-60 in textbook. Label papers Christmas Memory. Answer questions 1-9 on page 63 (textbook)

In your textbooks (not I.R.) read the story “Dog Star” on pages 33-38. Label papers “Dog Star” and answer questions 1-9 on page 41.

Go to page 41 (textbook) Look at the tab Writing. In your notes, respond to the writing prompt. You’ll need to get your writing stamped. Be prepared to be called on and share your experiences.

What’s a story’s mood? It means the story’s emotion effect and it’s used to enhance the meaning of the story. What are sensory details? The writer uses images that appeal to our senses (sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch). Read “A Christmas Memory” – pages 51-60 in textbook.
