Science Fair Project - Purpose To give the student a better understanding of the dynamic nature of God’s awesome creative power – this can be ours as well. Genesis 1:1; 1:26 Gain a greater understanding of the “Creation Mandate” – we are commanded to subdue and have dominion – Man solving problems caused by Sin. Genesis 1:29-31 Learn how to apply the “Scientific Methodology” – the steps to be used in performing experiments. Genesis 2:1-3

Science Fair Project - Steps Pick an experiment (research begins) – keep it simple, area of interest, plan to do it thoroughly Hypothesis – this is students educated guess as to what results will be – should be a confident statement of what will happen Research Paper – Began with finding project, continues with research of “key” areas affecting experiment, culminates with results/findings of experiment Project Board – this is board which represents what was done and learned

Science Fair Project – Project Board Title – in the form of a question Purpose – what is experiment to explore/find out Hypothesis – educated guess of what will happen Procedure – steps of the experiment Results – what did happen (can be different than hypothesis) – Illustrate results with pictures, charts, graphs etc. Conclusions – what was learned, who helped Abstract – summarizes the entire project (purpose, hypothesis, results, information learned) Biblical Application – this is a Bible verse/principle that relates to experiment done. Logbook – this is where observations made during experiment were recorded, notebook style. Research Paper – this is in the final draft form with section on results. Supporting Materials (if appropriate) – materials (safe) used in the experiment can be displayed w/board.
