3 The castles of Wales Wales once had 400 castles. It is sometimes known as the castle capital of the world. Cardiff Castle is very old. It was built in the 11th century! 2 wars took place there. Caernarfon Castle :The castle's majestic persona is no architectural accident: it was designed to echo the walls of Constantinople, the imperial power of Rome and the dream castle, 'the fairest that ever man saw', of Welsh myth and legend. In 1969, the castle gained worldwide fame as the setting for the Investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales.

4 Welsh Food Welsh food is quite different from what we normally eat. There are crempogs, those are Welsh Leak and Mushroom pancakes. There are is also a cheese & cucumber dip. Also there is glazed lamb!

5 Landforms & Nature Attractions
Wales is a country with many mountains, but it doesn’t have as many mountains as castles! Snowdon mountain is Wales’ highest peak. It’s altitude is 1,085 meters. The beaches are beautiful. 750 miles of the country faces the shore. Some of the beaches are surrounded by green rolling hills and rocky cliffs.

6 Welsh Sports The most popular sport in Wales is rugby. They are the Welsh rugby union. Their nickname is the Red Dragons. They play at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Their top scorer is Neil Jenkins. Their coach is Warren Gatland.

7 Welsh History Wales is a country full of history, legends and myths. Here are the names of a few myths: Owain, the lady of the fountain, St. Collen and the king of the fairies, and countless other ancient Welsh legends. There was a period of time in Wales where the Romans were there and built castles as forts.
