2011 Spring Battle of the Rockets DE/ Mid-Atlantic AIAA Team with the NASA Langley Team DE/ Mid-Atlantic AIAA Team DE/ Mid-Atlantic AIAA Team Rocket (“Humpty Dumpty”) Competition occurred April 2, 2011 in Culpeper, VA Two teams competed with a goal to safely fly a rocket system with a hen's egg and an electronic altimeter to an altitude of 2000 ft and return it all without damage NASA team narrowly beat out the AIAA team by achieving 1950 ft (vs. 1860 ft for the AIAA team) Competition occurred April 2, 2011 in Culpeper, VA Two teams competed with a goal to safely fly a rocket system with a hen's egg and an electronic altimeter to an altitude of 2000 ft and return it all without damage NASA team narrowly beat out the AIAA team by achieving 1950 ft (vs. 1860 ft for the AIAA team)

Bus Trip to Washington D.C. This year’s trip returns to the Air & Space Museum on the National Mall in Washington D.C. Date of the trip is Saturday, June 18, 2010 –Bus will leave parking lot of ATK Elkton at 9AM and drop everyone off at the entrance to the Air & Space Museum –Departure time from the Museum will be 5PM Cost: $5 for AIAA members, $10 for non-members.
