Ms. Bledsoe’s End of the Year Social Studies Project 1. Teaching a Lesson & 2. Designing a Board Game Objective: Working in groups (up to 5 people), your task is to design one educational lesson and board game based on one of the following topics: –China (Chapter 14) –Japan (Chapter 15) –The Early Americas (Chapter 16) –Enlightenment and Revolution (Chapter 21) –Revolutions and Nations (Chapter 22) –Global Challenges (Chapter 23) This will be an in-class project, meaning you will be given time in class to work on your board game and PowerPoint. Thus, you must bring all materials needed to complete your board game to class, daily. You will have several tasks to complete in-class, which will have due dates. Everyone in the group must have a specific job, known to the teacher. We will play these games in-class after discussing the material; thus, your game MUST work properly.

Advice Choose group members wisely!! Please be frugal when deciding what materials to use for your board game. If you have ideas not discussed, please have them approved before you add them to your creation. You may use games you already love to play as inspiration for your game; however, it should NOT be a replica! Use your textbook for academic information used within your game. Your final product should be neat and project QUALITY (if you do not understand what this means, please ask).
