Grading Grading Policy 100-90% = A 89-80% = B 79-70% = C 69-60% = D Below 59% = F Weight grades 10% - class work/labs/participation 20% - Homework 30% - Quizzes Tests/Projects – 40%

Science Class Begin day with warm-up/trivia Lab groups – assign students #’s – pick popsicle sticks Allows communication, exchange of ideas Students will explore Science as scientists Begins with an overall question Student involvement of engagement, exploration, and analysis

Science Class Science notebook – notes, vocabulary, labs Homework – not often, student driven based on labs/activities Quizzes - ??? Tests/Projects – About 4 projects per year. In class. Tests – study guide about a week’s notice that one is coming….

Academic Lab Time is used for: Additional support and assistance in content areas (This can include tutoring, test preparation, and SSR) Learning and practicing acceptable social skills, team building activities Announcements, collecting signed documents, assemblies Team decides, along with grade level administrator, the schedule for AL each week.
