Major growth in Articulated Truck and LCV travel across Australia, more than twice the rate of Rigid Trucks On average, over the 5-year period, there have been: – 4 fatal HV crashes each week that resulted in about 5 fatalities – 10 fatal Articulated Truck crashes each month that resulted in 11 fatalities – 6 fatal Rigid HV crashes each month that resulted in about 7 fatalities – almost 2 fatal bus crashes each month that resulted in 2 fatalities On average 18.1% of all fatalities involve a HV.
