How does a student see a counselor? Professional School counselors work with all students in the classroom through bi-weekly lessons. Topics covered include: academic success, career exploration, and personal/social concerns. A teacher or administrator may ask the counselor to talk with a student. Parents may ask the counselor to talk to their child. Students can ask for a conference by filling out a counselor pass and placing it in their counselor’s mailbox.
