Senior Finals – June 1 st Next week – reteach objectives never mastered throughout the year Exs: Labeling heart anatomy, Use directional terms to explain body parts, etc. Why??
4
While we review for your final… We are going to give you last minute study tips for next year Each day will focus on a different technique that you can use to help you succeed in your classes next year
5
So…to me you are college students now. Which means… I am not always going to tell you how or when to take notes. You are in charge of doing what you need to so that you can master these objectives on the exam I will post documents and ppts to the website so you can study from home As always, you are responsible for getting any make up work from your peers, not the teacher.
6
Today’s Goals: Master Obj: Use Directional Terms to Relate Parts of the Body Unit 1 Overall Mastery after Test: 68.5% Distance to goal: 11.5% Use Study Tools: Songs & Rhymes
7
Directional Terms Background Anterior = front The face is anterior to the butt Posterior = back The spine is posterior to the belly button Superior = above, up The nose is superior to the mouth Inferior = below, down The toes are inferior to the knees
8
Directional Terms Background Proximal = closer to trunk of body The shoulder is proximal than the elbow Distal = further from trunk of body The knees are distal than thigh Medial = closer towards the middle of body The nose is medial to the ears Lateral = farther from the middle of the body The wrists are lateral to the chest
9
Songs & Rhymes Music is extremely helpful for learning new material We used this when we learned our anatomical terms song

Overall Mastery for objective: Define Anatomical Terms: 94.2%
12
Directional Terms Poem: Superior is up, Inferior is down Anterior towards the front, Posterior: turn around! Distal has distance, Proximal is close Lateral is away, Medial is your nose
