3 Social Sciences  Social Sciences are the disciplines that study human social behavior or institutions and functions of human society in a scientific manner

4 Social Sciences  Anthropology  Psychology  Economics  Political Science  History  Sociology

5 Anthropology  The comparative study of past and present cultures.  Focuses on societies of the past and that are less advanced.

6 Psychology  The study of the mind and behavior of organisms.  It focuses on the individual behavior rather than the group behavior.

7 Economics  The study of the choices people make in an effort to satisfy their needs and wants. 

8 Political Science  The examination or study of the organization and the operation of government.  Examples are voting patterns, political power, and the formation of politically based groups.

9 History  The study of past events.  Historians study the past in an effort to explain current behaviors.

10 Sociology  The social science that studies human society and social behavior.  Sociologists focus on groups rather than individuals.  They also focus on social interaction

11  Growing demand for social scientists.  Skills needed in these areas are organizational, writing, speaking, data analysis, planning etc.  Jobs includes social worker, global tech specialist, law enforcement, environmental health specialist etc.
