1.) W RITING C ONSISTENCY When writing is consistent, it means that all the ideas must go together and transition from one idea to the next. All of the examples, support, evidence, and writing in the story needs to support the main idea. ***HINT: To help you find consistency, write down the main idea of each paragraph as you read!!

2.) F ORM OF W RITING 1. A personal letter -Used to talk to a friend or family member. Informal. 2. Letter to the editor -Used to express a viewpoint. Formal. 3. A business letter -Used to request information or ask for something. Formal. 4. An essay -A composition that includes a point of view. 5. A poem -Express feelings and emotions. 6. A narrative -Gives an account of an event. 7. A report -Provides facts about a subject. Must do research. 8. A review -Provides judgments about a book, movie, etc.

You will be in groups of four, but you will be working independently!! In each group, you will have two worksheets that you need to complete. Please do not write on any of these!!
