1.The NCAA requires ALL institutions to have an outside entity certify student-athlete’s eligibility. 2.Student-Athletes must be certified as eligible prior to engaging in competition for UWM. In order to accurately determine a student’s progress towards degree, advisors are asked to confirm: 1.#of credits earned towards the degree (numerator), and 2.#of credits remaining to earn the degree (denominator). For example: If a student has earned 52 credits towards their degree AND has 76 credits remaining to earn degree The denominator used to determine progress towards degree is 128 (52 + 76). PROGRESS TOWARDS DEGREE = 52/128 = 40%

FOLLOWING ADD/DROP DATE… Forms are sent to each student-athlete’s advisor. Advisors are asked to complete the forms within 2-3 weeks. Athletics will pick-up forms from the advisors. Athletics reviews form and provides to Carolyn Johnson for final certification. Carolyn Johnson certifies each student- athlete’s eligibility based on the submitted forms.
