What is FAI? bone spurs develop on the femoral head
prevent normal motion of the hip eventually can cause osteoarthritis of the hip

Who gets FAI? elite child athletes (> 8 hours / week) in certain sports hockey players soccer players basketball players

Wolff’s Law Structure and shape of bones will be altered over time in response to forces placed on them.

Hypothesis Performing repetitive motions during intense training exerts a load on the femoral head and acetabulum eventually causing FAI. Performing single plane exercises places a load on the femoral head and acetabulum eventually causing FAI.
