3. Definition Marriage is a voluntary union for life of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others. monogamous English law, however, recognizes judicial divorce (dissolution of marriage) The intention of the parties must be union for life.

Only such mental disorder which prevents the understanding of the nature of the contract can cause the marriage to be voidable.
