Name where your country is located relative to other countries around it. Middle East. Bordering Persian Gulf. Between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Insert a picture of one of the geographic features of your country.

Physical/human characteristics of Kuwait
Physical characteristics include: Dry desert plain, .8% arable land. Natural resources - petroleum, shrimp, fish, natural gas. Slightly smaller than New jersey. Only country without natural lake. Human characteristics include: Population - 2,596,799. Over half are non-nationals. Life expectancy - 77 years. Ethnic groups - 45% Kuwaiti, 35% other “arab”, 9% South Asain, 4% Iranian, 7% other. Religion - 85% Muslim. Official language - Arabic. Insert a picture illustrating a season in your country.

How do humans interact with this environment: “Oil rich, worker poor” World’s largest desalinization complexes. Food is mostly imported. 97% of population is urban. Wealth distributed very unevenly. Insert a picture of an animal and or plant found in your country.

Political/cultural/religious ideas of Kuwait
Political ideas which spread: No political parties but groups that front candidates. Trade of goods: Fifth-largest proven oil reserve - main export is oil. Before oil was discovered, pearls and hides were main exports. Can’t grow food so it’s imported. Communication: 2.7 million cell phones (more than population!) No railroads, highway system being developed. One international airport near capital. Kuwait resort with oil refinery in background

Kuwait is so great, But don’t go there for vacation: You might die of dehydration. Their economy should never spoil, Because of their large supply of oil.
