3. The first step to using the Internet is getting connected. People connect to the Internet in many ways. Most people at home use a dial-up connection using a phone line---they connect to Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) like AOL or Prodigy, or through the Lansing School District. Soon many people will connect using ASDL phone lines or through your cable---this will free up your phone line.
