Trauma, stress and injury result in: Damage to the spinal joints: ligaments Damage to spinal ligaments. discs Damage to spinal discs. joints Damage to the facet joints. muscles Damage to the supporting muscles.
23
Damage to the spinal joints results in: “Stuck bones” Our words for Vertebral Subluxation Complex.
24
“Stuck bones” result in: Nerve Interference (the cause of your symptoms) “The nervous system controls every function controls every function of the Body.” All tissues in the body except the Brain & Heart are constantly regenerating. The stomach lining replaces itself entirely every 5 days The skin every 30 days The skeleton every 3 months 3 Billion cells in the body are replaced every minute
25
Nerve Interference results in: Headaches; TMJ problems; Allergies; Sinus problems; Asthma; Neck pain
26
Nerve Interference results in: Shoulder pain; Arm/Hand numbness and/or pain (carpal tunnel syndrome)
27
Nerve Interference also results in: * Stomach/ digestive problem Indigestion Heartburn * Organ dysfunction Upper G.I. Tract dysfunction Liver dysfunction Kidney dysfunction Pancreas/ spleen dysfunction Thyroid problems; heart problems; lung problems
28
Nerve Interference also results in: * Low back pain * Hip pain * Sciatic/ Leg pain * Constipation/ diarrhea * Reproductive problems * Many other problems related to the nervous system.
29
Spinal decay… “Stuck bones” “Stuck bones” also result in degeneration (breakdown) of the spinal bones, discs, ligaments and muscles. Arthritis This “breakdown” of the spine is also known as Arthritis.
30
Can Chiropractic help? Rubber band… If you don’t remove the rubber band, your finger will die. Can taking drugs save your finger? Can exercise save your finger? The only thing that helps is…
31
Chiropractic care has three objectives… 1. “Unstick” the bones… 2. Remove / relieve nerve interference… 3. Keep the spinal joints moving while the body heals the damage done by the arthritis.
32
…and ONE GOAL The goal of chiropractic care is to help restore the body to normal / optimal function. “health”. You experience optimum function as “health”.
33
How long does it take (to return to normal?) Returning to normal depends upon how much damage (arthritis) has occurred to the spine and supportive tissue.
34
Phase one… The vertebra gets “stuck” due to joint damage. Nerve interference which causes symptoms. Arthritis begins in the spine.
35
To return to normal in phase one … The bones are “unstuck” and nerve interference is removed and symptoms are relieved in the first 4-12 weeks. The body heals and returns to normal 6-18 months later with corrective or rehabilitative chiropractic care.
36
Phase two… All of the problems of phase one, plus: Breakdown (degeneration) of the spinal discs and joints. Arthritic changes to the bodies, discs, joints and ligaments of the affected vertebrae.
37
To return to normal in phase two… The bones are “unstuck” and nerve interference is removed in the first 90 (or more) days. The body heals and returns to normal/optimum function 18-36 months later with corrective or rehabilitative chiropractic care.
38
Phase Three… All of the problems of phases one and two plus: The affected vertebrae often fuse together permanently. Permanent fusion prevents return to normal mobility. This does not mean you cannot benefit from chiropractic care, it only means you probably will not return to normal.
39
Chiropractic takes time Relief (4-12 weeks) Phase 1 (6-18 months to normal function) Phase 2 (18-36 months to normal function) Phase 3 (???)
40
The Benefits of Corrective Chiropractic Care * Restores normal function * Optimizes health * Extends your life * Improve immunity … -Perot Enzyme Study
41
Benefits… * Slows the aging process - Degeneration is the aging process. GREAT! * Makes you feel GREAT! Corrects the cause * Corrects the cause rather than treats symptoms * Slows, stops and reverses spinal degeneration
42
Benefits… * Restores normal nerve supply * Improves overall health * More energy * Natural * Painless * Safe 100-400 times greater risk Tylenol, Advil etc., 100-400 times greater risk of serious complications or death than Adjustment for same condition.
43
Benefits… * Prevents surgery * Fastest relief from pain * No drugs * No needles * Relieves many symptoms
44
And More Benefits… * Prevents many health problems * Affordable health care * Adds years to life * Adds life to years
45
How much does it cost? How much Chiropractic costs depends upon whether you choose short-term relief or corrective care How much does it cost if you DON’T get Chiropractic care?
46
Short-term relief care 4-12 weeks, 3 visits per week until relief You pay as you go If there’s no insurance involved, our average office visit is $45
47
Corrective Care (beyond relief) * 3 visits per week for up to 12 weeks “Unsticks” the bones Removes the nerve interference Relieves symptoms Begins corrective process * Then 1-2 visits per week for the next 3-12 months. Keeps spinal joints moving while healing of the arthritic damage takes place
48
How much does it cost? We are here to make care manageable through payment options and plans that allow everyone to receive the care they need. Unlimited Care Program (UCP) and Family Care Plan. Some options are our, Unlimited Care Program (UCP) and Family Care Plan.
49
The “Unlimited Care Program” (UCP) You get unlimited chiropractic care for six months or one year at a fixed fee. It includes all chiropractic adjustments, exams and x-rays to accomplish the goal. You save up to 30%
50
Why you should consider corrective care … * Benefits of chiropractic. * Relief of your symptoms. * Structural and postural changes. * Functional improvement. * Reversal of spinal degeneration. * Healing. * Improved quality of life. A longer, healthier life is the result of corrective and wellness chiropractic care.
51
With Wellness Care … We insure you receive proper information on how to achieve Optimal Health. Optimal Health does begin with the nervous system as the control house but other important issues also need to be addressed such as proper exercise and nutrition.
