Does Education Pay Off? People with more education usually make more than people with less education. Unemployment is less among those with more education. As a class – make some estimates on what you think the unemployment rate is for each group and also estimate what you think the average weekly earnings are for each group. Doctoral Degree ???? Bachelors Degree???? AA Degree???? Let’s see…..

Let’s check out some jobs. Everyone please take a copy of the top jobs in the United States (packet of papers with a key on top). This is a different way to look at careers – not based on your interests – but money and time in school. There are MANY things to consider when selecting a career. And it may/will change many times in your lifetime. This information is a bit outdated – but it’s the format and the job exposure we want you to get. Updated info can be obtained from a link later in presentation.
