Early Childhood Then bought her own airplane First solo flight in 1924 which was a new record of 14,000 feet

What She Did That Made Her A Great Leader First woman to have flown across the Pacific Ocean Disappearance: People think that Earhart’s mission was to spy on the Japanese. Then people thought that the Japanese knew so they took her captive.
