3 PREPOSITIONS AAAA preposition is the first word in group of words called a prepositional phrase. AAAA prepositional phrase ends with a noun or pronoun called the object of the preposition. AAAA prepositional phrase tells more about other words in a sentence.

10 RULE FOR PREPOSITIONS  A preposition is part of a phrase and is followed by a noun or a pronoun.  It cannot stand alone!
