IRREGULAR VERBS Some verbs do not follow the same rule to change it to past tense. EX. + Ending a Sentence in a PREPOSITION p. 76 Do not end a sentence in a preposition. It separates the preposition from the object. Instead, move the preposition to the beginning or change your wording. In some cases, authors need to put a preposition at the end to achiev a specific affect. EXAMPLES INSTEAD OF THIS: How did the table get on top? WRITE THIS: How did the table get on top of the chair? INSTEAD OF THIS: Where did you come from? WRITE THIS: From where did you come from?
