2 The preposition is a word that relates a noun or pronoun to another word in the sentence. Look at page 168 in wb for list of prepositions. The object of the preposition is the noun or pronoun that follows a preposition A prepositional phrase includes all of the words starting with the preposition and ending with the object A prepositional phrase can have a compound object. I love everything about math and science. If sentence starts with a prepositional phrase, use a comma. Before dismissal, we pack our books.
