In practice, biological products cover: Vaccines, Blood and blood products; In vitro biological diagnostic devices; other biological products. An Essential Medicines Programme: To support the achievement of the health related MDGs by assisting governments and organizations to ensure equitable access to effective medicines of assured quality and their rational use by prescribers and consumers
