W ORKFLOWS A workflow is used for approval purposes for documents within a library or site. It helps groups of people to approve documents in a seamless manner. For example, if your organization has an initiative that involves various leaders on campus, and requires that documents are approved by each individual, you can schedule a workflow on a document for approval from each person involved. SharePoint will send out alert emails to each individual alerting them there is a document in SharePoint that requires their approval.
