What our Morning looks like? Arrive at 8:50 Unpack book bags – hand in green folder, complete lunch graph and bell work. Recite Pledge of Allegiance and sing patriotic song. Listen to morning announcements. Sit on rug for morning meeting.

Helping your child write Stretch out a word to hear many sounds. Encourage child to write what they hear. Refer to the ABC chart when saying a sound. Practice sight words. Rather than spelling a word for your little one, break it up and allow them to write down what they hear.

Homework Read to your little one nightly. Have them retell the story in their own words. Ask them where the story takes place, who is in the story, what happened first, next and last. Use the resources I send home. Alphabetical order letters, booklets we make, sight word flash cards and math materials. Library with Mrs. Donaldson Every Monday morning from 9:30-10:00 Please make sure to return books each Monday so they can choose others to read.

Behavior Program Green ~ ‘good to go’ day Blue ~ warning Yellow ~ miss 5 minutes choice time Red ~ lose free time and note or call home may be necessary. *Any unwarranted physical behavior will be dealt with immediately.

Tips for Success Monitor school work – Empty green folder nightly and ask your little one to tell you what they were asked to do. Make reading a priority. Encourage independence. Expect the BEST! Keep in touch if you have any questions. A good night’s sleep. Breakfast each morning. Pack a snack

Shoe tying Please practice tying shoes with your little one at home. We do not teach that skill in kindergarten. Make sure to double or triple knot them.

Remind 101 Remind 101 is a text messaging system that allows me to send out text messages/reminders to make life at the Fantini Funhouse run smoothly. Just follow the simple instructions listed on the handout in your packet.

I am looking for ‘a few good parents’ to help me with our parties and special events. We celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving Pow- Wow, Christmas, Hundred’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and Easter. Party sign up sheets are on table!!

Parent Teacher Conferences Please remember to sign-up for your child’s Parent Teacher Conference either on December 5 th and 6th. Sign-up sheets are located in the gymnasium.
