Summary of Rules Only Electric Source of Propulsion (No More Than Four 1.5 V Batteries OR One 4.8 V Battery Pack) Other Energy Sources May Be Used for Functions Other Than Propulsion Travel Distance 5-10 m (In Intervals of 0.5 m Regional, 0.1 m State, 0.01 m National) Travel Time Less Than 45 Seconds (Teams Must Predict Time) All Vehicle Parts Must Move with Vehicle

Summary of Rules Continued Wheel Base 40 +/- 3 cm Track Width Less Than 25 cm No Electronic Sighting/Alignment Devices Stationary, Pointed Object to Mark Front of Vehicle Within 1 cm of Track Surface Breaking System or Other Parts May Not Contact the Floor (Except for Wheels) Vehicle Must Be Started with Pencil, Pen, or Wooden Dowel (No Touching)
