6 Sleep Apnea and SIDS Stop breathing hundreds of times a night causing the person to wake up briefly. Usually caused by obesity and compression of the windpipe. 13 Kleine-Levin Syndrome a rare and complex neurological disorder characterized by periods of excessive amounts of sleep and altered behavior. The disorder strikes adolescents primarily.
