Setting The story begins in the forest. Brian is flying to his dad’s house when the Plane he is riding in crashes into the Canadian Wilderness. The story also takes place during the summer. It is important that the story takes place during the summer because it would be a lot harder for Brian to survive If it was any other time of year. It is also important the story takes place In the forest because if he wasn’t alone in the forest, he could walk to the nearest town and call his Dad/Mom.

Brian The most important character in the story is Brian. The character’s main goal is to stay alive in the Canadian wilderness until he is found by the “searchers”.

Problem/Solution Brian's problem was that he was lost in the Canadian wilderness. The problem was solved when Brian dove down into the lake near his shelter and got a survival pack, then looked into the pack for the materials. He found a signal that would transmit to air planes and helicopters. Soon after, a helicopter landed and saved him.
