What is “Professional Capacity Building”?: Process of developing knowledge and skills that directly increase effectiveness in job performance Relies on multiple methods to achieve “continuous” and “accessible” learning: –Training –Education –Technical Assistance –Outreach –Peer Exchange –Others Program Definition

ITS PCB Program: Philosophy With the right mix of training, education, technical assistance, and information, individuals and agencies can better prepare to meet ITS needs, and receive the right depth of information at the right time. Readily accessible requires that the most effective form of learning materials be available when the need arises for a professional to learn.
