Pacific Disaster Center Mission: To provide research and analysis support for the development of more proactive policies, institutions, programs and information products for disaster management and humanitarian assistance communities within and beyond the Asia Pacific region. Correlations Literacy Rate: Bangladesh (~40% literacy rate) has the highest number of people affected per disaster. Access to Healthcare: Philippines and Vietnam (highest number of physicians per 10,000 people) have the 4 th and 5 th lowest numbers of people affected per disaster. GDP: No visual correlation. Further research could be done.
