4 21.2.2014 OIE Regional meeting, SOFIA4 PROPORTIONS BETWEEN PRIVATE AND STATE HIGHEST EU IRELAND – 86.02%, LOWEST EU DENMARK – 55,82%, HIGHEST CEEC CROATIA – 69,11%, LOWEST CEEC SLOVENIA – 44.06%

6 21.2.2014 OIE Regional meeting, SOFIA6 SLOVENIAN VETERINARY CHAMBER (1) Self regulated and self financing institution, Difficulties in communication with the state, No influence on future organisation, Theoretically lot of power, practically always to negotiate about authorisations rules and rights. Every time after the changing Statutes, government must give permission to introduce.

7 21.2.2014 OIE Regional meeting, SOFIA7 SLOVENIA VETERINARY CHAMBER (2) Reorganisation of Veterinary Chamber in 2001 All vets obligatory members of the Chamber Six sections – private, education and diagnostic, official vets, industry, army and insurance vets 3 big sections and 3 small ones –problem with decission process

9 21.2.2014 OIE Regional meeting, SOFIA9 PUBLIC AUTHORISATION Licence – necessary to get together 35 hours of education per year, valid for 10 years, Public register of all vets – difficult to manage Registration of veterinary practices – every 3 years, Professional supervission of the practices -regular every 3 years, - extraordinary – whebever is necessary Supervission of the vets – additional education or examination Organisation of educational conferences,

12 21.2.2014 OIE Regional meeting, SOFIA12 COMMENTS THEORETICALLY EQUAL SYSTEM OF THE ORGANISATION OF VETERINARY SERVICE IN EU AND CEEC, UNNECESSARY SUPPORT OF STATE STRUCTURES DURING REORGANISATION BY BRUSSELS ADMINISTRATION DURING ACSESSION PROCESS, MORE OR LESS MINOR TRADITION AS SELF REGULATED PROFESSION.
