Video Games in History 1958- The first video game is made on an oscilloscope by William Higinbotham. 1962- The first interactive computer game is made. 1970-1972- Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney create the first video arcade game and start the Atari company. 1975- People wait in line for hours to get on the waiting list for Pong. 1976-Space Invaders appears at arcades and becomes the first game to display high scores.

8. How Video Games Are Made The core team works on how the game will look and work. An artist sketches the characters, objects, and backgrounds. A graphic designer puts what the artist drew on the computer. Then the development team makes the characters, and objects work. The programmers and engineers make the game able to be played. Finally the testers find glitches in the game to be fixed.
