© Crown copyright Met Office Headlines Most respondents (91%) saw or heard the severe weather warning, primarily on TV, and just over half (55%) claimed to have taken any action as a result of that warning. Most of those who saw or heard the weather warning thought it was useful (95%) and accurate (96%). A majority (59%) of those who did not see or hear the warning said that they would have changed their plans had they been aware of it. In terms of how people prefer to receive warnings, the greatest proportion (63%) would prefer to receive warnings via the TV with 8% stating a preference for the radio.
