1. Building Guidelines

2. Pass a church resolution This resolution should define the cost limits of the project and state the plan for proceeding including the organization of a project committee.

3. Select the site  Recommend to the church board  Church board recommends to the church business meeting.  Municipal body must grant a permit to build planned structure.

4. Raise the funds to purchase  Concurrent with the site selection, raise the funds to purchase the land or buidling, if the funds are not already on hand.

5. Notify the Conference Administration  Notify the conference administration that the church is in the process of site selection and obtain the counsel of the administration.

6. Approval by the Executive Committee Plans are approved through the Building and Finance committees and recommended to the Executive Committee For final approval.

7. Closing of the Purchase  When approval to purchase is given by the conference executive committee, the designated officer of the conference will arrange for the closing of the purchase.

8. AUTHORIZED SIGNATURE  All properties purchased by churches are bought in the name of the legal body of the conference, the conference association, and the signatory to the purchase documents must be authorized by the Association Board, if not, the transaction will not be legal. YOU MUST  HAVE AUTHORIZATION TO SIGN.
