RPD Acquisition Policy Goals (1) Acquire properties that are found within or serve a high needs and/or an open space deficient area Meets the definition of an open space deficient area (fills a gap in the ROSE distribution deficiency map for children’s playgrounds) (2) Acquire properties that have identified funding sources for the purchase, development, and/or maintenance of property $475,000 raised to date by Residents for Noe Valley Town Square for park development $720,000 grant request submitted to State “Urban Greening” (Prop. 84) program for park development (3) Acquire properties that encourage a variety of recreational and open space uses Can accommodate both passive recreation (e.g. seating, picnicking, and gardening) and active recreation (e.g. children’s play area)
