4. 4 Justification In nearly every case where OTA Advisors perform assessments and technical assistance is offered, there is a recognized need for the application of information technology as a tool to support operations, analysis, detection and prevention of financial crimes, transparency in financial transactions and systems, etc. The purpose of the course is to improve the capacity of the decision makers within the agency, unit or organization, engaged by OTA, to understand the relationship between technology and their operations, procedures, and work products.
