MAE 430 - Presentation MINT Lab 3 Human Perception of Risk Engineering and Technology (in general) made our life very easier than for example 50 years before, but what human did was not perfect, or safe for themselves. In other words, the perception of risk has been changed over the past few years. For instance, before creation of a hole in the ozone layer (due to production of CFCs, CO2, etc by human), nobody cared very much about greenhouse gases and global warming. But after occurrence of such phenomena human’s perception of risk and safety changed and by reducing activities that result in the production of greenhouse gases, recently it’s been announced that the hole in ozone layer is disappearing.
