ATTENDANCE REQUIRED Included in Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) More than 7 absences negates child’s test scores from school data Doctor appointments and vacations check in no later than 11:00, check out no earlier than 7:15

AGENDAS AND HOMEWORK

READING REQUIREMENTS Daily reading log – signed by parent on Thursday 5 Accelerated Reader books each 9 weeks Must be 4 th grade or above reading level Must pass AR test with a 70% or more Only one teacher-read book allowed per 9 week period With special consideration, students may submit a letter following format on Literacy Link on my blog. Book Report each 9 weeks

SPECIALS – 6 DAY ROTATION Schedule Day 1 – Music Day 2 – Art Day 3 – P.E. Day 4 – Math Lab Day 5 – STEM Lab Day 6 – P.E.

SNACK TIME Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack and water for snack time. No candy, cookies, cupcakes, or juices are allowed.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE TODAY… Complete papers and turn in to Mrs. Cohen. Please complete the Contact Information Form on the laptops in the back of the classroom. Please subscribe to Mrs. Cohen’s BLOG on the laptops on the round table. Please complete the First Day of School Transportation Form and Regular Transportation Form. ***Any transportation changes must be made in writing prior to the beginning of the school day. Changes made after the school day begins MUST be made through the front office Sign-up to be room parent and/or volunteer positions.
